Larry Wine named President & CEO of RBS WorldPay Incorporated

Atlanta, GA – Larry C. Wine, a veteran electronic payments industry executive, has been named President & CEO of RBS WorldPay Incorporated, Citizens Financial Group’s Atlanta-based payment processing division, the company has announced.

"Larry’s in-depth experience in the electronic payments industry combined with his executive management background will serve our business customers of all sizes well," said Ben A. Barone, Executive Vice President and Director of Citizens’ Retail Direct card products division. "Under Larry’s leadership, we look forward to RBS WorldPay’s continued success in delivering high-performance, comprehensive electronic payments services."

RBS WorldPay is a leading, single-source provider of electronic payment processing services - including credit, debit, EBT, checks, gift cards, e-commerce, customer loyalty cards, fleet cards, prepaid cards, ATM processing and cash management services. Citizens acquired the former WorldPay Systems, Inc. in September 2004.

Over the past 20 years, Wine has held a number of executive management positions, including heading national and multinational organizations. He came to RBS WorldPay from Chicago, where he was president of Moneris Solutions’ U.S. Group. Moneris Solutions, a Bank of Montreal-Royal Bank of Canada joint venture, is one of North America's largest electronic transaction processors.

Prior to joining Moneris in 2002, Wine was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Union Bank of Florida, one of the largest local commercial banks in south Florida. He also held senior management positions at JP Morgan Chase, Chase Merchant Services. At JP Morgan Chase, he was chief executive officer of Biz Base, an Internet-based small business financial services initiative.

In 1999, Wine founded LINK2GOV.com, an electronics payment system provider for government, utilities, insurance and health care companies. He developed and implemented its capital markets strategy, coordinated and executed the company’s planned initial public offering, and recruited and managed the executive team and 75 person workforce in multiple U.S. locations. Early in his career, Wine held progressive management positions at Eastman Kodak and ADT Security Systems.
