RBS WorldPay Names Nick Sommerio as Chief Financial Officer

Atlanta, Ga. – RBS WorldPay, the US payment processing arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, announced today the appointment of Nicholas J. Sommerio as chief financial officer. He brings over 20 years of finance and accounting experience in the electronic payments industry, most recently with Global Payments.

Sommerio held several leadership positions with Global Payments, including vice president, Corporate Development and Strategy, and vice president, Financial Planning and Analysis.  Previously, he spent several years with First Data Corporation as vice president, Finance, and as chief financial officer of Chase Merchant Services, LLC, based in Melville, New York. Earlier he worked with KPMG in Washington and Barnett Banks, now part of Bank of America, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Sommerio graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and George State University, Atlanta, with a Master of Business Administration.
